AQUAQUICK 2000™ and AQUAQUICK 2000 SP™
WHAT IS AQUAQUICK 2000?
It is a unique, efficient, cost effective, completely environmentally friendly, water based cleaning agent, oil dispersant and degreaser, made from plant extracts, with extensive emulsion stability to breakdown the cohesion (attraction) between hydrocarbon molecules. It biologically and organically, breaks down or biodegrades all mineral, vegetable, animal and synthetic oils, greases, fats and fuels into H2O, biomass and minimal CO2.
WHAT MAKES AQUAQUICK 2000 UNIQUE?
It is an effective hydrocarbon emulsifier with the ability to biodegrade hydrocarbons into environmentally friendly by products. It has no effects on paint, metals, plastics, coatings, fillings, substrates, textiles, wood and is dermatologically approved as safe for skin and eyes. Is not harmful to any marine or land organism, non-pathogenic and is a non-carcinogen. The high concentration of AQUAQUICK provides a desirable carbon foot print by greatly reducing packaging, transportation, and storage. No special documentation for transportation is required, it is non-hazardous. No special protective gear, gloves, goggles, equipment or precautions are needed. Aquaquick 2000 softens water and greatly reduces scaling.
Aquaquick 2000 is non-flammable and is extensively used in fire extinguishing and various calamity cleanups. (fuel/oil leaks/spills and accidents).
HOW DOES AQUAQUICK 2000 WORK?
It contains a mixture of special nutrients that accelerate the growth of bacteria in sewage systems, water purification-treatment plants and other microbe rich environments such as lakes, rivers and the open environment itself. The microbes will rapidly and fully biodegrade and breakdown the residue of emulsified hydrocarbons into harmless and completely environmentally friendly; water, biomass and minimal CO2.
WHAT ARE THE SPECIAL PROPERTIES OF AQUAQUICK PRODUCTS?
Aquaquick products contain detergents that efficiently emulsify hydrocarbons. These detergents themselves are readily biodegraded. The balanced supplement of nutrients in Aquaquick, ensure that the microbes continue to actively oxidize the hydrocarbons to completion.
WHAT ARE THE REMAINING RESIDUES?
The microbes emit carbon (C) and hydrogen (H) which bind to the oxygen (O2) and is transformed into water (H2O), minimal carbon dioxide (CO2), and harmless biomass consisting of deceased bacteria.
WHY USE AQUAQUICK 2000?
Because it provides a highly efficient, cost effective and completely environmentally friendly alternative, to replace widely used hazardous, harmful and toxic hydrocarbon cleaning agents, organic dilutants, solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbons, alkalines and acidic cleaners. Such toxic and often carcinogenic cleaners only displace, but do not eliminate, or dissolve the hydrocarbon pollutants.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AQUAQUICK 2000 and AQUAQUICK 2000 SP?
Aquaquick 2000 was specifically developed as an effective biodegradable hydrocarbon cleaner for disposal (with continuous biodegradation) directly in the open environment (soil, streams, seas, oceans, marshlands, road borders), sewage- and drainage systems. It is extensively used in open and closed circuit waste water treatment systems, fire extinguishing, oil rigs and other applications.
Aquaquick 2000 SP with the same characteristics is a fast separating cleaner and degreaser suitable for disposal with oil-separating systems and grease traps.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE BIODEGRADATION PROCESS?
The nature of the pollutant, available microbes, oxygenation/agitation, soaking time, the dilution rate of AQ and the temperature (up to 285° F) will effect duration of biodegradation. Ideal temperatures for biodegradtion range from 41 to 98.6° F (5 to 37° C). Aquaquick 2000 products will fully biodegrade within 40-60 minutes in water purification plants, and 96% within 21 days in the environment and surface waters. These rates fully comply with European, USA and Canadian biodegradation standards.
WHAT DILUTION RATES ARE AVAILABLE?
Starting with minimum 50:1 up to 800:1 for hand soap.
Temperatures above 140 °F (60 °C) allow for the dilution to be doubled, and above 212 °F (100 °C) tripled. With high pressure and temperatures up to the maximum 284° F (140° C) additional multiples of the dilution rate can be achieved.
Please refer to Dilution Rate Chart
Pre- diluted: 5:1, 10 : 1 and 20 : 1 are available upon request
CAN AQUAQUICK PRODUCTS BE RECYCLED?
Up to 2-3 cycles can be applied, depending on the degree of the pollutants, the agitation, oxygenation and temperature of the cleaning process.
HOW MUCH AQUAQUICK PER APPLICATION?
| Average spill and cleaning: |
100 sq. feet (9.3 sq. meters) |
50: 1 = 3 ¾ - 5 Gal (11 - 19 L) |
| Degreasing process: |
100 sq. feet (9.3 sq. meters) |
100: 1 = 4 - 5 Gal (15-19 L) |
| Soil remediation: |
15 Gal (2 cubic feet)(.06 cubic meter) |
50: 1 = 5 Gal ( 19 L) |
| Oil spill at sea: |
10 - 15 Gal (37-57 L) |
50: 1 = 5 - 6 ½ Gal (19 - 23 L) |
| Tank cleaning: |
100 sq. feet (9.3 sq. meters) |
50: 1 = 2/3 Gal (2.5 L) |
| Pipeline cleaning: |

The above indications are subject to nature of hydrocarbon, application mode (heat/ pressure), agitation and aeration.

WHAT CLEANING METHODS APPLY?
Scrubbing by hand, brush or mechanical power, soaking and high pressure spraying will improve cleaning performance significantly by providing crucial agitation/ oxygenation. Increased soaking time is needed for old pollution and stains in porous surfaces. When cleaning heavy viscose hydrocarbons paraffin, asphaltum, or sludge temperatures greater than the melting points are needed. To avoid foaming, measure the water into the mixing vessels before adding Aquaquick. In using Aquaquick in degreasing baths, rinsing systems, cyclic pressure cleaning systems; the residual oil can be skimmed off (after a rest period if needed) and additional Aquaquick can be added, to extend the usable life by three to five fold.
ANY SPECIAL STORAGE AND HANDLING REQUIREMENTS?
Shelf life of undiluted Aquaquick and SP is unlimited. Do not expose to direct sun or temperatures below 26.6 °F (-3 °C) unless special additives are included to allow for applications down to temperatures of -4°F (-20°C). Shelf life for diluted AQ is 4 to 6 months.
CAN AQUAQUICK BE BLENDED OR MIXED WITH OTHER PRODUCTS?
Yes, but manufacture only warrants the performance of Aquaquick products diluted with water. Other products can be added with similar pH values after sufficient testing. To avoid compromising the integrity of the product it is recommended to first carefully and thoroughly test the cleaning and biodegrading of any blends or mixes.
